Some students take longer than others to start reading. One of the reasons is that active kids get frustrated with having to sit still during reading lessons and this gets in the way of learning to read.

In this video I will introduce three simple strategies that I have used with my clients at Write Up Your Alley and found very helpful.

I believe that teaching a young child to read is much more important than teaching them to sit still. Whether you are a parent, a teacher or a tutor, these strategies which involve movement will make your reading sessions a lot more pleasant and effective.
