The first few times I heard these from students, I laughed a little. But over the years, seeing these gross misconceptions perpetuate makes me very sad, especially considering that I hear them often; I hear them from highschool graduates, not only from elementary students; and the students hear them from teachers or tutors. Here are the top five myths I am sure I will hear repeatedly in the upcoming weeks. I am glad my team and I are ready for another year of fixing these and many other problems and misconceptions students have about essay writing.
